Live your Life..Before its too LATE..!!

It was one of those winter evenings, where everyone at the cafe were buried in their warm flurry jackets. The cafe was decked up with beautiful white cages dangling with cozy yellow lights inside it. Though being a chilly cold evening, the cafe was surrounded with a huge mob, everyone around had gathered for discussing about New Year’s Evening.

Well, it had to a big bash party, after all it was 31st ~ “The last day of the kick ass year”.

Loud laughter and jokes about how their year went, how many memes did they tag each other in, how many trips were cancelled, how many more will they be planning in coming year 2018 and not to forget the big business plans which are going on since years and years were heard across the tables. With all these discussions going around, tears of joy and sense of satisfaction was seen on every one’s face in the cafe apart from ONE.

Although, the left most corner of the cafe was covered with brightest lights and colorful cages, it still appeared dull. It seemed as if the happiness in the cafe did not flew towards the corner of the cafe. A young beautiful girl was sitting there holding a hot coffee mug and lonely smile tucked over her face.

Hearing the glee around, she whispered to herself : What was so great about the year? Why is every one around smiling even when the year might not have been much fruitful to each one? Why is every one so excited about New Year Night? What is the coming year going to owe ? It’s always going to be the same.. One more year with heart breaking expectations and pain. A year more to survive.

It appeared that she was being very much pessimistic about things around. Just then some thing happened, some thing that caught her attention. Out from the crystal clear window, she saw a man holding a stack of balloons returning back to his home. There stood a small hut roadside where his children’s were playing and his wife was cooking food on hearth. Seeing their father coming back, little kids geared up with joy and started running towards his side. The man immediately hugged his kids and carefully listened to their day stories. All three of them reached their hut and his wife served them the dinner, the dinner not being a lavish one, had some chapati’s and some daal.

The entire view pinned her mind, she carefully kept on observing them for some more time. To this she realized, even though this little family is able to survive hardly, how much contended they are. She could see the joy on their face and the zeal of living their life no matter how bad their survival was.

With all such thoughts in her mind, a new soul was born in her. She realized each minute, each day and each year might or might not be worth, but at least one should be contended with what ever one possess. There’s always a brighter sight waiting for us and ready to cuddle us up. When she walked out of the cafe, brightest smile rolled on her face and she now had plans in her mind of celebrating New Year’s eve and being grateful and Celebrating each day of the bestowed LIFE (And she framed it as her New Year Resolution).

P.S : Each Day is a New Day, Erase the past bad chapters and live your TALE as a New ONE every single day.

Darkness…

To one of those rare winter evening..

After illuminating the city with its warmest rays, the sun had now settled between the swaying leaves. The city streets which kept on buzzing for the entire day were now silent. Hardly few tea and coffee shops were open across the roadside. While everyone buried them self in their coziest homes, she walked along the aisle of the river.

A lady with beautiful brown eyes and raven black hair, gently paced along the empty streets. She appeared to be lost somewhere in her own world, as if she was searching for something along the river side.

She kept on walking till she found a wooden bench located in the dark corner. Seeing that her face lighted up with a smile as if she had found a treasure box. The darkest corner of the city seemed to be her end of search.

After a stressful day at work and a monotonous routine, she found a source of happiness in that little hidden corner. With thousand of thoughts running in her mind, she muttered: this place is all i need for the rest of my life. Far away from the chaos of life the silence here carries my heart away. There’s no one to grumble about me, no one to point me out at how should I behave, no one to teach me the norms of society and no one to rule my life.

While she thought about all this a smile of deep satisfaction rolled over her face. It appeared as she had finally smiled after ages. She realized it’s not that darkness always comes with loneliness or emptiness. May be the world has just mistaken it. There are times in life when being in the loneliest corner can teach you wonders. The ones that are not taught by the inspirational videos that are stuck on the internet. At one point of time inspiration, motivation, happiness, tears, satisfaction has to come from within us and this can be sensed only by spending some time far away from the muddled world.

This winter evening had been the warmest one for her, though the city was covered with brisk but there was fire within her. She was ignited by the happiness that little wooden bench made her realize.

Her mind and heart were now in common acceptance and she perceived : “Nothing in life is dark or empty, it’s just our perception. We always see a half filled glass as empty and often forget that it is half filled too. It all depends on us, how we discover our life and how we let our thoughts shape it. Yes, there might be odd days too where things might just not fall in place and when no one would be by your side but that’s not the end. We ourself can heal our soul and probably in a much better way than anyone else can do for us. Labelling darkness as a gloomy thing is just not the right approach, darkness actually comes with so much peace and happiness. The silence teaches us the hardest chapters of life in the easiest way.”

With all this beautiful thoughts and a new perception towards life she started walking back.Just few steps and she paused a bit, turned back and waved good-bye to the little wooden bench: “Good Bye my Happy Dark Corner, I shall see you soon..!!”

The Victim..!!

10:00 PM                                                                                                                        Noida, India
The dark sky swept across the silent streets of the city. Huge buildings across the streets stood like a monster ready to gulp the city. The security guard’s who were responsible for people’s safety were already half asleep securing their dreams. The only visible light being the flickering signal lights gave a hope of safety when Aarohi walked down the street.
Aarohi, 27-year-old, a girl with wheatish skin, sharp features and shinning black hair wore a beautiful floral blue dress covering her head with a pashmina shawl. The street where she rambled was a part of her everyday routine. Aarohi worked in a Well known IT company 2 lanes behind this street.

While she  walked along the lane, a brisk black Audi passed by her side. The shawl covering her head plunged by the wind-blown by the snappy car. She was taken a back by what she had just heard, someone from the car had shouted : “Hey lady, get inside our car..!!” Aarohi was stumped, she paused for a while, looked back and thought was it wise enough to return back. Having traveled almost more than half way there was no point returning back and with this thought she moved ahead. On her way she kept on murmuring “Aarohi this is the same route you have been hiking on since 3 years and it’s totally safe, nothings gonna happen you will reach home in next 15 mins.

As she moved ahead, she saw the same Audi taking a U-turn and coming on her way. Her breath sank and she started running in the opposite direction. Within few seconds the car spotted her and she was horrified, 2 furious young men came out and pulled her inside and one more on the front seat who used abusive words to call her inside. Aarohi tried every bit to save herself but all her efforts went in vain. She kept on shouting “Don’t pull me, someone help help..!!” There was no one to hear her sobbing scream.

And in few minutes all her belongings dropped on the road and she was in the car.

Inside the car, her hands were pulled tightly by the one seating on backseat and the other one holding her legs who was on the front seat. She tried every bit to save herself,  kept on impelling her hands and legs in every direction she could.

Slowly slowly, she had lost all her strength and could no more resist. With every single minute she could feel the pain, her clothes were ripped off one by one. She was in deep shock, hardly could she shout or utter a word. The rage in her eyes had now turned into shame. The only thought that she had

how will she face the world now?

What’s going to happen next?

Will they kill me? And If they don’t kill me, I would kill myself..!!

And in next one hour when the lust of the demon had been satisfied they kicked her out of the car on the footpath. There was no one on the road side and for a change Aarohi felt good about it. She was scared to face the world now. She tried getting up but failed not only once but thrice. She regained some energy, stood up and started figuring out the road. While she walked, her eyes, her mind, her heart still could not accept what had just happened with her. She thought of killing herself on her way back but for every time she thought to do so, the pity eyes which had been waiting for her at home stopped her from doing so. She knew she had to live for her parents and in no chance she could end her life.

Every moment on her way back, she thought if the devils who brought her to this stage Will even be punished? Will she get justice? Will the society accept her? Will her parents be able to face the world? Will she lead a normal life? What if every thing goes wrong? What if tomorrow she would be in the highlights of newspaper with a title “Aarohi Sharma : a middle-class family girl gang RAPED..!!”  Every inch of her body still could feel the pain and the marks given by them, she wanted to rub it off, tear her skin and hide in some corner and never get out of it.

She was now at the doorstep of her home, she ranged the bell and her dad opened the door. Her dad was scared by her condition, she hurriedly got inside and broke down. She kept on howling and shouting.  Even without speaking a word, her parents were clear of what had happened with her. They tried getting every detail of who had done this to her. For the entire night she kept on weeping and her parents who were already speechless tried consoling her.

This was not the end of the story, the actual tragedy happened next morning when Aarohi and her parents decided not to raise voice against what had happened with Aarohi. They all decided to forget the entire trauma as soon as possible. Just like every other middle class family, rather than fighting for justice they were worried more about the society.

And with this, One more chapter was masked and a smile was coated on the sore face. Although it took years for Aarohi to clear off the scars and lead a new life.

This forces me to think : What was her fault? Why was she been asked to keep her mouth shut? Was she doing something wrong on the street? If it was about her clothes then she was actually covered in a complete Indian attire, not even a drench of her body was visible. Why is that the fear of society kills our confidence?

In the country where we reside, every other day a girl like Aarohi is forced to live a dead life.

P. S : Wish Girls on this planet can soon enjoy their life in peace, without any fright of loosing their own self. One must not forget every girl is a daughter, a wife,a mother and a sister for someone, lets protect them and not make them a living dead soul.

The Surprising Door Bell

A year later, sharp at 12:00 am the door bell rang “TING TONG, TING TONG

Meera who was busy attending the phone calls rushed and opened the door. To her daze, a middle-aged man was standing on the other side holding a Bouquet of Blossoming Red Roses, her favorite Ferraro Rocher  chocolates and eye pleasing gifts.

Thunderstruck Meera was almost about to shout : “What Daaa….” Just then she gasped, collected all the stuff and hurried towards her room. For the next few minutes she kept on gazing all the gifts, she very well knew from where it had arrived. A drop of tear rolled down her eye when she murmured –

The Best Surprise from the Best Person” ~ Rahul. His name from Meera’s lips created a beautiful echo in the void room.

Meera calmed herself and started hunting for her phone. While dialing his number, Meera thought : ‘A call after a year‘ (Although no calls were made in the entire year but Rahul’s number still was in her favorite contact list). Even before the ring could be heard, Rahul picked up the call (The most awaited phone call for Rahul).

And it was “Silence on both sides

While Meera recovered some courage to say “Hi“, Rahul as always had already taken a move. The first 3 words he spoke were

Happy Birthday Darling..!!

The lovestruck word “DARLING” after a year made Meera blush. She finally spoke “Rahul, I am overwhelmed to see how perfectly you make my day so special. Each and every small effort of yours makes me feel so grateful. Thank you so much Rahul

Rahul replied : “Meera, this is the day I was waiting for since a year

The conversation then started and continued for hours and hours. They discussed about each and every bit of their past One year and also how much they missed each other. Loud laughter, tears of joy  and constant chitchat continued from both the sides. Clock ticked 9:00 am and when the rays of sun lighted the city, they realized they were already late for their moronic office.

Just before they were about to hung the phone, Rahul asked : “Meera, can we please meet today evening, at the same coffee shop ?

Meera (desperately wanted to meet him) : Within no seconds she replied “Yes Rahul, sharp at 7 pm

With grin on their lips and blush on their cheeks, the phone call ended.

P.S : Some relations demand time..

A Room of Fear..!!

And it was a night before her solo trip. Deep inside she was scared, she wanted to lock her in her comfort zone and never come out of it.

It was first time that Anjali, a young and a charming 22-year-old girl, had got the biggest opportunity from her corporate firm and had to travel to The United States of America the other morning for 3 months.

Like every other girl, she had no courage to face it all alone. She had often tried to delay this opportunity in every other way she could. But now it was getting over her head. She knew one day this had to happen and so today was the day.

Anjali actually was bold and smart but some how, she had a fear of going out of her own space. She always felt that the world outside had their eagle eye on her and that they would always wait for her to commit a mistake. Although she had always been an optimistic person, but like all of us even she had some hidden fright.

So Anjali, who was just like us in every other way, thought of taking up this challenge and giving it a try.

Yes, you read it right — She chose to face her fear (Not all of us have the same spirit)

The other morning, while at the airport when she was about to board her first flight, she actually looked like a 2-year-old kid whose candy had been stolen. She was much horrified from inside but on her face she never let that appear. With full confidence she boarded the flight and landed in Chicago. Her first journey boosted her so much that it almost appeared like she had known this unknown city for long.

So the next step was again a rooted fear – staying alone in a Hotel room.. But that day it turned out to be different. All of sudden when she entered the room it felt like it was a pleasant one. Though at night she was a bit scared but she kept on fighting with her mind and later slept in peace.

The next 3 months turned out like a miracle for her. Yes at times she did face some difficulties, like she often used to forget the roads and end up in almost opposite direction. But she had learnt that even the wrong paths might end up in a beautiful experience. Even at her work place, people around her turned out to be friends with her in no time and which eventually helped her in performing better and better.

Anjali had found a new soul inside her. Her fear had disappeared like a bubble popping from a soap-bubble. It just took 16 hours of flight to make her confident enough. That’s how her story changed and keeping aside all the minor hurdles she always succeeded.

So what exactly is this FEAR???

Fear which can be of any type.. may it be a fear of darkness,or of height, or of water, or of being alone,or of travelling and on and on.

But the question here lies is : Does Fear actually exist??

The answer to it is “NO“. In real fear is just an abstract thought in our mind. How we actually face our fear depends on us. The more we give importance to our fear the more it suppresses us.

So, Believe in your self and just face it once. Never let your FEAR kill your confidence.

Are you suffering from Mid 20 trauma??

One more elegant Wedding to attend and I want to escape. These days my most awaited dream makes me feel tearful. Ever since I was in college, I wanted to be the most charming bride. I always used to visualize my wedding with the glitters, the bells, white orchids, glamorous decoration, appetizing food, wedding dance, friends, relatives and so on. But today I am scared with everything that’s happening around me.

Before I narrate my situation, let me introduce myself I am Ria Sharma, 25 years old and a girl who per society should have been having kids at this age. Like every other girl of my age I am the most eligible candidate for …

You might be wondering eligible for Job???

So, let me break your hunch.

Not eligible for job but the most Eligible candidate for Marriage.

Nowadays, every third person whom I meet has just one topic to discuss about me:

When will I get married?

Why am I rejecting every boy?

Have I already found someone? and many more…

Sometimes I don’t understand what’s wrong with everyone? Is marriage the last thing for any girl/boy of my age? Can’t they have a life of their own?

There’s nothing like I don’t want to get married but till the time comes why can’t I just be the way I used to be.

“A free bird flying in her own sky and just relishing her life on her own terms.”
By now, I have realized it’s not that simple. We live in a society where some predefined rules have been just stamped and it will be the same. Although few things still can be changed but everything demands time and patience which we as young blood often tend to lose.

Currently we might feel the phase is just getting worsened every day. What we desire is just moving out of our league. We start feeling pessimistic about everyone’s opinion around us. There’s nothing wrong in having such thoughts but at the same time we should not forget to live in the moment.

Each phase of life has its own beauty, we might not be happy with what we are in currently but this might turn up to be a beautiful memory once conquered. This phase might team up with a little pressure, some arguments might lead to havoc, some disappointments might lead to pain but we must understand everything is just temporary. This is not the End of Life..!!

It’s a journey of miracles, you never know which might turn up to be a Life Changing One..!!

So all the beautiful young souls out there, “Just Relax, Slow Down, Breathe, Enjoy and Cherish it..!!”

The Early Dawn…

The sun had barely risen and the city had subdued quiet in dawn. Only some road sweepers and morning factory workers hurried through the fast moving streets of Mumbai.

While everyone passed along the streets, I found a fisherman trying to get his way through the deep sea. The silent sea waves created a symphony which was peaceful. The fisherman, in the midst of the never ending sea was in search of something. For him his boat was like a extravagant yacht, the one enriched with all the luxuries of world. His fishing net was not just the one knitted with nylon or silk but above all it was his reason of survival. The isolated sea had now turned out to be its soul. Everyday he would porch in the same sea in hunt of living for his family.

By now time had elapsed by few hours, sun was overhead and the buzzing streets of Mumbai were now crowded. The fisherman kept on swirling his fishing net in all directions. While he did so he had now managed to get some fishes and though it was not a fancy deal but feeling of contentment was visible on his face. And now, he knew that he would be able to get something for his family while he returned back. And his search went on for the rest of the day.

When the beautiful sun was about to sway back and the sky dyed pomegranate pink, the fisherman sailed his boat back to the shore. A feeling of pride was clearly seen on his face. His job though it paid him little but he was satisfied about what he did. At the end of the day smile on his family’s face was all that he strived for.

P. S : Be contended about what you work, it may reward you sooner or later.
