Darkness…

To one of those rare winter evening..

After illuminating the city with its warmest rays, the sun had now settled between the swaying leaves. The city streets which kept on buzzing for the entire day were now silent. Hardly few tea and coffee shops were open across the roadside. While everyone buried them self in their coziest homes, she walked along the aisle of the river.

A lady with beautiful brown eyes and raven black hair, gently paced along the empty streets. She appeared to be lost somewhere in her own world, as if she was searching for something along the river side.

She kept on walking till she found a wooden bench located in the dark corner. Seeing that her face lighted up with a smile as if she had found a treasure box. The darkest corner of the city seemed to be her end of search.

After a stressful day at work and a monotonous routine, she found a source of happiness in that little hidden corner. With thousand of thoughts running in her mind, she muttered: this place is all i need for the rest of my life. Far away from the chaos of life the silence here carries my heart away. There’s no one to grumble about me, no one to point me out at how should I behave, no one to teach me the norms of society and no one to rule my life.

While she thought about all this a smile of deep satisfaction rolled over her face. It appeared as she had finally smiled after ages. She realized it’s not that darkness always comes with loneliness or emptiness. May be the world has just mistaken it. There are times in life when being in the loneliest corner can teach you wonders. The ones that are not taught by the inspirational videos that are stuck on the internet. At one point of time inspiration, motivation, happiness, tears, satisfaction has to come from within us and this can be sensed only by spending some time far away from the muddled world.

This winter evening had been the warmest one for her, though the city was covered with brisk but there was fire within her. She was ignited by the happiness that little wooden bench made her realize.

Her mind and heart were now in common acceptance and she perceived : “Nothing in life is dark or empty, it’s just our perception. We always see a half filled glass as empty and often forget that it is half filled too. It all depends on us, how we discover our life and how we let our thoughts shape it. Yes, there might be odd days too where things might just not fall in place and when no one would be by your side but that’s not the end. We ourself can heal our soul and probably in a much better way than anyone else can do for us. Labelling darkness as a gloomy thing is just not the right approach, darkness actually comes with so much peace and happiness. The silence teaches us the hardest chapters of life in the easiest way.”

With all this beautiful thoughts and a new perception towards life she started walking back.Just few steps and she paused a bit, turned back and waved good-bye to the little wooden bench: “Good Bye my Happy Dark Corner, I shall see you soon..!!”

A Room of Fear..!!

And it was a night before her solo trip. Deep inside she was scared, she wanted to lock her in her comfort zone and never come out of it.

It was first time that Anjali, a young and a charming 22-year-old girl, had got the biggest opportunity from her corporate firm and had to travel to The United States of America the other morning for 3 months.

Like every other girl, she had no courage to face it all alone. She had often tried to delay this opportunity in every other way she could. But now it was getting over her head. She knew one day this had to happen and so today was the day.

Anjali actually was bold and smart but some how, she had a fear of going out of her own space. She always felt that the world outside had their eagle eye on her and that they would always wait for her to commit a mistake. Although she had always been an optimistic person, but like all of us even she had some hidden fright.

So Anjali, who was just like us in every other way, thought of taking up this challenge and giving it a try.

Yes, you read it right — She chose to face her fear (Not all of us have the same spirit)

The other morning, while at the airport when she was about to board her first flight, she actually looked like a 2-year-old kid whose candy had been stolen. She was much horrified from inside but on her face she never let that appear. With full confidence she boarded the flight and landed in Chicago. Her first journey boosted her so much that it almost appeared like she had known this unknown city for long.

So the next step was again a rooted fear – staying alone in a Hotel room.. But that day it turned out to be different. All of sudden when she entered the room it felt like it was a pleasant one. Though at night she was a bit scared but she kept on fighting with her mind and later slept in peace.

The next 3 months turned out like a miracle for her. Yes at times she did face some difficulties, like she often used to forget the roads and end up in almost opposite direction. But she had learnt that even the wrong paths might end up in a beautiful experience. Even at her work place, people around her turned out to be friends with her in no time and which eventually helped her in performing better and better.

Anjali had found a new soul inside her. Her fear had disappeared like a bubble popping from a soap-bubble. It just took 16 hours of flight to make her confident enough. That’s how her story changed and keeping aside all the minor hurdles she always succeeded.

So what exactly is this FEAR???

Fear which can be of any type.. may it be a fear of darkness,or of height, or of water, or of being alone,or of travelling and on and on.

But the question here lies is : Does Fear actually exist??

The answer to it is “NO“. In real fear is just an abstract thought in our mind. How we actually face our fear depends on us. The more we give importance to our fear the more it suppresses us.

So, Believe in your self and just face it once. Never let your FEAR kill your confidence.

Gloomy Night and the Shining Star

“And the same night again,” She whispered in her mind, pitch dark sky and the dusky clouds. The city lights appeared to wane in front of inky sky.The people and animals scurried to the comfort of their homes while the trees swayed with the wind. The stars were hidden behind the fluffy clouds. The sky engulfed in a never ended blanket of pure emptiness.

It had been few months now that she shifted to a new place for a better job. She kept on working all day long like a clock.Every Day while returning from work in evening, she wandered along the streets, she used to see a mob of people chitchatting and laughing. For her this was just a dream, having some friends in an unknown city. While she missed her home, she kept on recalling old memories. Her life was filled with emptiness and pain. Even though she had a good job and place to reside, there was something missing.

While she recalled her old days, she stood right at the window and kept on gazing the sky for hours and hours. For her it was a sleepless night, a night which was filled with bed of loneliness and despair. All alone in her spacious and extravagant flat she kept on searching for something in sky to fill her sadness.

Somewhere deep inside her heart, she had a belief that this night was different. Even the dullest sky gave her hope. She kept on chasing sky in hope of a shining star.
She somehow wanted to come out of loneliness. She felt as if the sky and stars
would fill her life with happiness and gratitude. And this hope made her determination firm and she looked at the sky without blinking her eyes.

And…

Her hope did not turn into despair , a bright star popped out from the shaggy cloud.
Seeing this, her face shined up, it appeared as if the brightness of star had lightened her face. She realized how a small hope and inner belief changed the way she looked at her LIFE. She suddenly felt like the city was all her, the sky which once was filled with emptiness was now a reason of her happiness. The bright star and the sky suddenly added a meaning to her life, she started loving her work and found the place to be the most interesting one. Her emptiness blew away like a storm and there was now everything that she loved. She became a kind of girl who was now crazy about her life and she realized this is all what she always dreamt off.

Even the darkest sky changed her Life to a Brighter one.

P.S.

Stay Hopeful and Keep trying .. 🙂

Love your LIFE , for Miracle can happen any time when you least expect it to happen.
