To one of those rare winter evening..
After illuminating the city with its warmest rays, the sun had now settled between the swaying leaves. The city streets which kept on buzzing for the entire day were now silent. Hardly few tea and coffee shops were open across the roadside. While everyone buried them self in their coziest homes, she walked along the aisle of the river.
A lady with beautiful brown eyes and raven black hair, gently paced along the empty streets. She appeared to be lost somewhere in her own world, as if she was searching for something along the river side.
She kept on walking till she found a wooden bench located in the dark corner. Seeing that her face lighted up with a smile as if she had found a treasure box. The darkest corner of the city seemed to be her end of search.
After a stressful day at work and a monotonous routine, she found a source of happiness in that little hidden corner. With thousand of thoughts running in her mind, she muttered: this place is all i need for the rest of my life. Far away from the chaos of life the silence here carries my heart away. There’s no one to grumble about me, no one to point me out at how should I behave, no one to teach me the norms of society and no one to rule my life.
While she thought about all this a smile of deep satisfaction rolled over her face. It appeared as she had finally smiled after ages. She realized it’s not that darkness always comes with loneliness or emptiness. May be the world has just mistaken it. There are times in life when being in the loneliest corner can teach you wonders. The ones that are not taught by the inspirational videos that are stuck on the internet. At one point of time inspiration, motivation, happiness, tears, satisfaction has to come from within us and this can be sensed only by spending some time far away from the muddled world.
This winter evening had been the warmest one for her, though the city was covered with brisk but there was fire within her. She was ignited by the happiness that little wooden bench made her realize.
Her mind and heart were now in common acceptance and she perceived : “Nothing in life is dark or empty, it’s just our perception. We always see a half filled glass as empty and often forget that it is half filled too. It all depends on us, how we discover our life and how we let our thoughts shape it. Yes, there might be odd days too where things might just not fall in place and when no one would be by your side but that’s not the end. We ourself can heal our soul and probably in a much better way than anyone else can do for us. Labelling darkness as a gloomy thing is just not the right approach, darkness actually comes with so much peace and happiness. The silence teaches us the hardest chapters of life in the easiest way.”
With all this beautiful thoughts and a new perception towards life she started walking back.Just few steps and she paused a bit, turned back and waved good-bye to the little wooden bench: “Good Bye my Happy Dark Corner, I shall see you soon..!!”
